Chres Jensen is a central Alberta artist who has been active for over 30 years. Influences include the early movements of the 20th century - surrealism, cubism and abstraction. After receiving a degree in Arts from the University of Lethbridge, Chres traveled extensively to pursue his craft and interest in languages. Using the guitar as his thematic center, Chres explores its extra-dimensional character by exploding and reconstructing used instruments into interactive cubist works. Presently, Chres owns and operates Gallery 244 with his wife, Sue on a tranquil acreage south of Edmonton, AB.
